No. Every BIMeta desktop app uses the same BIMeta account (the one you use at chat.bimeta.net). Sign in once in any app and you're signed in to all of them on your Windows profile; sign out of one and you're signed out of all of them. Read more

Yes. On the Welcome Back screen click the matching Continue with… button (Autodesk, Bentley, Microsoft or Facebook). It opens the BIMeta website where you link that account; then come back and sign in. Read more

No, your password is never saved. The app keeps an encrypted session in your Windows profile (%APPDATA%\BIMeta\Auth\). Signing out anywhere ends the session in every BIMeta app on that computer.

Your company needs to set this computer up for BIMeta sign-in once, so contact your IT administrator. For Sign-in timed out, start again and finish the steps in the browser tab that opens; for The BIMeta server could not be reached, check your internet connection or proxy and retry. Read more

Each BIMeta app must reach the internet at least once every 7 days. Connect to the internet (check VPN or proxy settings) and reopen the app; it checks in and unlocks straight away. Setting the computer's clock back does not get around the check. Read more

• Always install silently: future updates install automatically.
• Remind me later: asks again in about a week.
• Skip this version: waits for the next release (not offered for required updates).

Usually not. BIMeta desktop apps install with a standard Windows setup program (…-Setup.exe or .msi), and most install per-user with no administrator rights. Launch the app from the Start menu afterwards and sign in. Read more

Newer or unsigned builds can trigger Microsoft Defender SmartScreen. If the installer came from BIMeta, click More info then Run anyway. If you're not sure where a file came from, don't run it and contact support. Read more

Use BIMeta Detail Converter: open AutoCAD Converter, choose Select .dwg File or Select Folder of .dwg Files, review the detected details, map layers and patterns in CAD to Revit, then click Convert. Folder mode doesn't look in subfolders, so choose the subfolder if you see "No .dwg files were found directly in that folder." Read more

No, Revit can't save families to an older version. Also note that type catalogs and lookup tables aren't copied automatically, so copy them alongside the upgraded families. Read more

1. In Hatch Viewer, select the patterns and click Export selected… to save a .pat file.
2. In Revit, go to Manage → Additional Settings → Fill Patterns.
3. Choose Drafting or Model, then New → Custom → Import, pick the pattern and click OK.

2. Click Auto Sort and fine-tune with Move Up / Move Down.

A file in "Unmatched / Other" didn't match any discipline; rename it or add a keyword in Discipline Settings. Read more

Yes, click Undo Last Rename and confirm. Only the most recent rename can be undone. Read more

The frame can move as a mechanism or doesn't have enough supports. Add supports or restraints and run the analysis again. Read more

On the System Designer canvas you can only connect components of the same discipline. Click Connect, then the source, then the destination, and finish with Calculate System. Read more

A 404 means the workflow isn't Live. A 401 "Invalid webhook signature." means the signing secret doesn't match, so update the sender. Read more

Go to contractor.bimeta.net, click Sign in with BIMeta, complete the setup steps (Business Info, Types of Work, Certifications, Contact Info, Review) and click Complete Setup. Your dashboard stays locked until onboarding is finished. Read more

Your access to that project was revoked, so local copies were removed as a security measure. Signing out, on the other hand, just locks the app and keeps your downloads. Read more
