Troubleshooting BIMeta Remote

Solutions to the most common BIMeta Remote problems. Still stuck? Contact support.
“That is a device ID. Set a relay server first…”
Use the connect code or a local IP, or set a relay server to connect by ID.
“Too many failed attempts. Locked for Ns”
After 5 wrong codes the host locks you out for a while (up to 15 minutes). Wait, then re-enter the code.
The other computer can't connect
Click Test connection — it checks the listener, network address and the “BIMeta Remote” firewall rule.
“Install cancelled — the always-on service requires an unattended password”
Set an unattended password first.
“Two-factor is on but no authenticator is set up yet”
Click Set up authenticator and scan the QR code.
A “key changed” warning appears
The computer's identity changed. Confirm with its owner before continuing.
Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't work
It needs the host running elevated or the always-on service installed.
